The Formation Commission is an auxiliary body of the Provincial Administration. This Commission works in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Formation.

The Secretariat was constituted by the General Assembly in 1998 in response to the appeal of the Holy See to initiate in communities of consecrated life a systematic programme of formation for those who are part of the community or will belong to it.

Following lived experience and in close relationship with the writings of St. Vincent Pallotti, the General Secretariat for Formation has published the "Ratio Institutionis". It is a detailed programme of formation and self-education for all candidates and members of the Society. The General Secretariat for Formation also regularly publishes an internal bulletin titled "Bethlehem" with materials on Pallottine spirituality and formation.
