The educational activities of St. Vincent Pallotti flowed from the basic theological concept that man is created in the “image and likeness of God.” Pallotti was highly sensitive to what was happening in the society especially to the young people of his time. He saw that this image of man as created in the likeness of God is destroyed by the anti social and religious elements. The young people were often victims of these forces. To remedy the situation Pallotti got engaged into various educational activities such as: Night Schools, Elementary Schools, Professional Schools, Agriculture Schools, Art Schools, Industrial Schools, etc. In this way he tried to counteract the socio-religious forces that affected the life of young people and thereby to restore in them the “image and likeness of God.”
St. Vincent Pallotti perceived the necessity for the formation of children and young people and was actively involved in their education, above all with the foundation of the night schools in the city Rome. It is worth remembering that the first half of the 19th century in the history of education system was the period in which the foundations for modern systems of formation were put in place. One of the most important activities of Pallottine history in the various countries was the foundation and direction of different types educational institutions. Up until today the Society undertakes many activities in the field of educative formation. Prabhu Prakash Province too is involved in the education ministry of the Society in India. Among the educational institutions run by the Province an exchange of experience and more and more intense collaboration is being developed. Furthermore Province also carries out educational activity as teachers, professors and managers in various schools and institutes.
